Description
Spotted Gum is a native Australian Hardwood noted for its distinct appearance, attractive markings and long durability. It has smooth bark that is shed in patches giving the trees their characteristic spotted appearance.

It is a popular choice particularly in bush fire prone areas as it is naturally fire resistant,
(provided thicker than 18mm). With its unique look Spotted Gum portrays an appearance of elegancy and difference regardless of the application it is used in.

Qld v NSW
The color of Spotted Gum various depending on which state it is sourced from. Queensland Spotted Gum has more variation in color ranging from light colored boards through to browny reds. New South Wales Spotted Gum has less color variation and no red tones.
